Welcome to Wisconsin Association of FFA

Established in 1929, the Wisconsin Association of FFA is an association of the National FFA Organization whose mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. Wisconsin has 250 FFA chapters statewide and over 20,000 members.

The FFA operates on local, state and national levels. Student members belong to chapters organized at the local school district. In order for a school district to charter and maintain an FFA chapter, there must be a certified licensed agricultural educator hired by the school district who then also serves as the chapter advisor.

FFA members are part of a total program in agricultural education, consisting of classroom instruction in agriculture, supervised agricultural experiences where students gain career skills and on the job training and leadership development through the FFA organization.

Applicants Needed for State FFA Honors Band or Chorus - Deadline Today February 12
Each year we have two fantastic groups of musicians come together at the State FFA Convention to perform and also perform at the State Fair. American Degree Eligibility
"How long is an FFA member still eligible to apply for their American FFA Degree or continue their FFA membership?" A student can be an FFA member until November 30 following their fourth National FFA Convention after graduation...unless there is some military service to consider and then they can be a member until age 23. So here is a quick way to figure out if a student is still eligible. Take the year that the student graduated and count the number of National FFA Convention following that graduation date.

Graduation May 2015
1st National Convention - October 2015
2nd National Convention - October 2016
3rd National Convention - October 2017
4th National Convention - October 2018 - This would be the last national convention that this member could receive recognition at. They must apply for the degree by March 6, 2018.

Final FFA Membership Due March 1 - Don't Miss this Deadline!!!

Don?t forget to have all students that are planning to show at any county fairs or state fair included on your roster by this deadline.

THINK SUMMER!!!! 2018 Jag Lake Reservations Procedures and Available Dates
http://dpi.wi.gov/ffa/jag-lake/dates

Reservations for 2018 Jag Lake dates are open. The procedures for making reservations are as follows:

1. Reservations are to be emailed to Cassie Fabian at this email address (Cassandra.Fabian@dpi.wi.gov). She will send an e-mail confirmation of your reservation.
2. An invoice and other information will be mailed out. Payment and the signed Contract of Use form must be returned within 30 days of the invoice date.
3. Multiple voice mail messages and/or e-mails requesting the same dates will be handled based on the date/time the message was left or e-mail sent.
4. If we do not receive payment within the 30 day period, your reservation dates will be released and become available to all chapters.

Rates and Payment Information:
DPI will send an invoice confirming the time and date of your reservation, your payment deadline, and the dates of your reservation. The invoice will be in the amount of your entire stay (either $250 for a 3-day reservation or $275 for a 4-day reservation).

As advisor, you will be responsible for sending your chapter's payment to DPI on or before the payment deadline indicated on your invoice. Your chapter's reservation will automatically be released if you do not send full payment (either $250 or $275) with a postmark dated on or before the 30-day payment deadline.

Should you need to cancel your reservation, please keep in mind full refunds will be issued only through March 1, 2018. No refunds will be issued after March 1. It is important to be aware of this policy as you plan your chapter's schedule for the year. It was established so that cancellations are processed early enough to make the dates available for other chapters to reserve well in advance of camping season. We want as many chapters as possible to have the opportunity to experience Jag Lake.
