Mar. 14, 2008

Do you have fun in FFA? Have you meet cool people in FFA? Have you learned new and exciting things in FFA? Has FFA made a positive difference in your life? If you said "Yes" to any of those than FFA has been good to you. Now it's your turn to help others become positively impacted by FFA.

The Wisconsin Association of FFA has a State goal to reach 19,000 FFA members this year. We need YOUR help to reach this goal! According to our latest numbers, we are no where near our goal of 19,000 FFA members so we need you to go out and recruit more members.

The deadline for supplemental rosters is April 1st. Wisconsin FFA, we have two weeks to recruit as many members as possible!

WLC Registration!
Mar. 04, 2008

Will you be there when 2,300 FFA members converge on our nation's capitol? Will you be there when 11,000 hours community service are dedicated to help those less fortunate? Will you be there when the sun goes down and the night tour of Washington, D.C. begins? Will you be there when FFA members become authentic leaders?

In the Summer of 2008 over 2,300 FFA members will travel to Washington, D.C., to attend the National FFA Organization's Washington Leadership Conference. Their focus will be to take their leadership skills to the highest level by learning to solve local problems; learning to build relationships; developing their character and living to serve.

Located in our nation's capitol, the Washington Leadership Conference is a five-day event that trains FFA members to make a positive impact in their school, local community, state and country. The conference focuses on the following areas:

Problem Solving
Relationship Building
Living with Character
Developing an attitude for Serving Others

The capstone event of the Washington Leadership Conference is a civic engagement activity, which takes leadership and service learning to new standards. Partnered with the Mid Atlantic Gleaning Network, participants glean food for Washington area food banks and shelters. In the past two years, WLC participants have dedicated over 23,000 hours of service to the Washington, D.C. area.

FFA WEEK
Jan. 28, 2008

National FFA Week. A time in which we showcase FFA to our schools, communities, and our state. A time for Milk-chugging contests, Ag Olympics, Scavenger Hunts, and informing others of the FFA Organization.

FFA week is not just about the fun activities though. Its about planning special activities for children or others in your community. Teach them about agriculture, the environment, food, and the FFA.

FFA week is about volunteering in your community. Collect cans for the Toyota Canned Food Drive or go a visit the nursing home. Bring smiles and happieness to others through Serving others. We are FFA members and we do Live to Serve.

FFA week is about thanking the FFA supporters who are there for you each and every year. Your parents, alumni, teachers, sponsors, & administrators all deserve to hear Thank You.

Most importantly during FFA week we need to spread the FFA word! Show yourselves off and have some fun. Show off the many different sides of FFA and tell others about the amazing opportunities FFA and Agricultural Education have. Show others HOW FFA has changed your life and offer them the chance to join themselves. The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students and we want as many students as possible to have that positive difference made in their life.

Look at the "What's New?" area for a couple things to help you with FFA Week OR see everything Nationals has to assist you at:
